So I ordered some software from Amazon this past Thursday afternoon. I *just* got an email from Amazon saying there's not enough money in my account to make the purchase. However, Amazon said they were going to ship Friday since it was too late to ship Thursday afternoon when I made the purchase.

I had a small party over the weekend, spending all but $30, checking my bank account as I go, right? I guess I shouldn't have assumed that Amazon would actually charge me before shipping the product. Well, if they just now tried (and failed) to charge me for the product, that means they lied about shipping it Friday.

Those bastards! I checked my bank account Friday night before partying but I didn't check the account history to see if the Amazon purchase had gone through.

Why the hell would Amazon wait 2 entire business days to process payment and ship?! That's stupid.

</me>

P.S. Haha, I just realized the irony in the situation. the software I had ordered Thursday of last week was Microsoft Money :laugh:

You used a debit card? I've never felt safe using my debit card to shop online.

Meh, I don't care one bit. The card itself has been stolen twice before and I've never been held responsible for the charges. My bank called me immediately to verify the purchases (they were quite high in value) and cancelled my card, and took care of the problem instantly. I :heart: my bank.

Solution: make more money.

Correction: don't spend as much. That's why I'm getting MS Money :laugh: :p

I don't know what to say. I was about to come in flaming away about people complaining about their free shipping.

Anyway, if partying reduced your account down to 30 bucks, I would figure you have little enough money to know how much you have, so that you'd notice if it went through or not.

Is it a national bank? If so, which one?

Alcohol does wonders on my counting skills. It also does wonders for my ability to care. ;)

I believe friday is basically the estimated ship date not the ACTUAL

Its normal when your Card bounces and they continue trying to charge it

I guess that's what I get for not requesting super awesome shipping and just going for the free shipping option. Oh well. They should charge you immediately when you make the purchase. They need to be more responsible so I don't have to be, dammit :p
