Ok, so mbm was reporting my temps a few degrees below my bios temps, and it was shooting my p4 2.26 up to 55 under full load with my room cool, 56-57 if it was warm in my room. Under a basic startup load it was running between 39-44 depending on room temp. So i just got my vantec aeroflow and AS3 to replace stock hsf and thermal pad. Installed it and now temps on startup are the same. I also have just installed the vantec nexus 101 or whatever, the lcd panel with temp monitor. It reads my cpu temp as 30 at the moment, with 42 as my mbm temp. mbm is closer to bios but the vantec has the temp monitor stuck right on bottom of the hsf against the cpu, so shouldn't it be accurate? And why havn't my temps dropped with a new hsf and AS3.
Thanks for any responses, hopefully i stated that clearly, seems I rambled a bit, so ask if you need clarification.
Now with basic internet and music running its at 44 on mbm and 31 on vantec, and its at full 5300 rpm.
