WinDVD 2000 and PowerDVD are probably the best aftermarket software DVD players out there.

I don't have their website links off the top of my head but I'm sure you'll find it.

I personally use PowerDVD and it's a great program.

PowerDVD's home page is at www.gocyberlink.com, a reseller of their's that also does a decent news page is www.3dsl.com.

PowerDVD 3.0 was just released also at the above mentioned 3dsl you can download the trial version and order the full version for a discount ($35 US compared to $50).

A true upgrade from PowerDVD 2.55 to 3.0 isn't expected until Nov 24th (ugh what's up with that).

WTF.... I have EXACTLY te same problem I have spent hours talking to Creative support team .. nothig helpet they don't know SH*IT!!! arhghh... I was pissed too .. I still am )

..I have taken the SB player 5.1 out of my system and I am changinig it for new one these days...
..But as I read this I doubt it would help.
I spent days trying to make Digital out work.

..the strange thing was though.. when I was playing DVDs with any software player DD light didnt go on and I was able to hear only surraundings sound and NO SPEACH!

..the thing with testing the speakes in creative mixer... the same her I only here FONT L and FRONT R others are dead!

..as I sead I have the same problem.. I could't describe it better than you!

What to do to make this F**** thing work!?

i've worked with sblives player on an all SB sound setup, sblive xgamer, and the fps 2000 digital, and i can get all 4 speakers, ya just gotta keep playin with the settings, SB is good but their documentation is sooo bad that their reps dont even know all their stuff can do, i know in the mixer there's so many frickin windows to play with, and 20 different places you hafta go to to click an option here and an option their, and sometimes if ya do it in the wrong order , one thing resets all they others and ya hafta go back agian, THEY TOOK THEY CONFIGURATION SYSTEM FROM A BAD MYST SUB GAME!
