Aren't there rules against this?

Since when can anyone being doing construction in a residential neighborhood at 11:30 at night?? Arg.. I live across from a big fancy private school and they are making such a godamn racket... trucks backing up, saws and other crazy crap. Makes me so angry, + Boston police don't give a damn, so I'm kinda screwed. Looks like no sleep for me tonight 🙁

In every place I've ever lived, that's illegal. Call the cops repeatedly.

you think they should do it while school's in session??

edit: ok, that was sarcasm...and yes, I'm sure it is illegal for them to be making that much noise that late at night...

Nope, not the case at all. If you live in a residential area next to a business zoned area they still have to follow noice ordinances. At least, it's been this way in most every place I've ever lived. In fact, in a rental I had when I first moved here they were building a office building right behind me. They couldn't start until after 7:00AM because of the noise.

i think you should get your neighbors and collectively pee in a bucket. then go and dump the urine on the construction workers.

Now there's an idea. 😀

<< Fire off a few rounds at the construction workers. It will probably get them to stop for a while and the cops may even show up. >>

:Q

<< You guys keep electing Ted Kennedy to the Senate. Send him a bottle of bourbon and ask him to stop the noise. >>

hahahaha

I'm sure Britney Spears will LOVE that 😉

Get together with your neighbors. Protest and interfere. Take an advantage of every right of way you guys have and interfere the construction process. They got the laser thing measuring across? stand in it's path. Are they using soners to measure distance? Get a similar frequency transducer and interfere there measurements.
