Aren't social programs nice?

This is in the middle of a multi-million dollar neighborhood. This particular house was a mere $.5mil, because it's rather small and run down.

They moved in 3 families, 15 people all told - about 10 of those people are certifiable crack addicts. A week later, this is a fully functioning crack den, complete with creepy stoned-out men walking around, shadowing little girls as they walk between the houses and 5-6 cars lining the street at all hours of the day.

Needless to say, since we're fvcking rednecks and have several hundred thousand dollars worth of loose stuff available to grab, this is now a free fire zone. All our guns have been unlocked and distributed as neccessary to the responsible parties. A 30-06 sniper rifle is in my brother's bedroom, I have a 12-gauge, and my dad has a .45. The other neighbors, whom we have previously been fueding with are suddenly no longer concerned with us, and are in fact arming themselves alongside us.

It takes 45 minutes for a police response out here. We know, because this is how long it took them to respond to each of the 5 B&E attempts last night. I'm willing to bet that if I shot one of them, it'd be down to FIVE.

Bring on the social change, liberals. Just do it for the people who will honestly appreciate it.

And no, nobody in welfare wants to hear the complaints (until some developer offers them eleventy billion dollars for the land the house is on to reduce the crime rate and put up a new house to boot). Hopefully that will happen soon enough, because there's a new development going in DIRECTLY ADJACENT to this place, and selling houses in there will be quite difficult if last night is any example of what is to come.

Hmm, what I'm hearing is

1)Buy new development at very low price (due to high crime/general yuckiness)
2)Firebomb crackhouse
3)...
4)Profit!

I'm calling BS until I hear both sides of the story.

Some people moved in and they were probably having a house-warming party. Meanwhile, Eyemwing's redneck family probably hates them because of their money, race, not-fatness, whatever...

I feel your pain. Same thing happened in my neighborhood.

Remember, if you have to shoot, make sure they fall down inside the house.

Good luck.

The fewer crack addicts the better.

I call shens...

That's like $170K per family for the house. That's as much as my house is worth! Maybe I should go on welfare...

Good to see I wasn't the only one. 😀

Shens.

It's my job to know how these social programs work in conjuction with real estate and I find it extremely hard to believe they (state and federal housing agencies) funded the purchase of this house and the legal conversion to a legal multi-family dwelling.
There are so many requirements that have to be met for a house to be dealt with in such a fashion. Since it's such a highly priced area the likelihood of it being in a zone where it is eligible to meet the criteria for federal or state housing funding and rehabilitation is near impossible.

This sounds like your story of the black drug running cars with their lights off doing 130mph across the border.
