Arecibo, Project Phoenix current run diary

Great articles! Thanks!

So... if they have real-time analysis of the data,
what data are being analyzed by the folks running
SETI@home?

The S@H project uses data from an instrument cluster that piggybacks on top of anything the antenna is doing except radar work. It effectively covers the entire sky the antenna is capable of seeing.

Project Phoenix is a directed search checking out stars deemed to have a better than average chance of harboring life.

heh.. an interesting read!

that's a good question you raised.. where is the Seti@Home data coming from?

could it be data that has been recorded on other projects and never analysed for alien signals?

or maybe the data that they go through at Arecibo is kept and stored for further analysis?
