Probably not. I am not a doctor or a lawyer, or making six figures, I don't have a house, or a kid.

At least I'm married.

My mother is, at least that's what she tells me.

Don't think my father is though. He has an electrical engineering degree, I have a HS diploma. Wants me to continue my education and take over his company, "cause he won't be around forever".

Too much stress though, I'm happy where I'm at.

i was just wondering. are your parents happpy with the way you turned out or are you a disappointment, a vile tarnish on your family's reputation?

i consider myself the black sheep in the family but i think everyone is surprised at how well i turned out. how about u?
The dead don't talk, or at least I do not hear the dead speak.

of course. i got perfect credit and a better house and car than them. hell their not just proud, their jelous.

Although I am sure that my parents are proud of what I have acheived as far as a career, I still insist that most parents are not so shallow. Most look at what kind of person you have become. Remember your impact on the world is more than just your job. How you raise your kids. How you treat your friends, neighbors or even strangers.
All these things reflect upon the way they raised you. And although they may not say it, these little things are much more important than how much you are paid.

They're proud of how well I've done professionally, but I'm probably not enough of a family person for their liking. I don't call as much as I should because of the time difference, and because I just started the job in January I don't have the vacation time or money to head home yet.
