agnostic
1) One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
2) One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

So pretty much means that you believe there is a higher power, but you don't believe that proof of this higher power exists.

atheist
1) One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods.

It means that you don't believe in a God.

neither

On the poll, means that you believe in a God and you believe that proof exists of this god.

I'm agnostic.

Agnostic, I can't disprove that there isnt a god, and I don't have sufficient theological knowlege to make a decision.

Your poll is flawed. The last option shouldn't have the bit about believing proof exists.

i don't understand. agnosism (or whatever) means you believe there is a god but there isn't proof. atheism means you don't believe there is a god. but then you can believe in a god and believe there is proof that it exists.

Yeah, I guess you really don't understand :p
I believe in something, but I don't believe there's any proof.

yeah thats how i am. i don't really think there is some long bearded fellow up in the sky that watches over us, but there might be something. just something unexplainable. i think the bible MIGHT hold answers but it shouldn't be the only proof that this higher power is there.

I don't believe there is a god, but would be willing to change my opinion of the proof was shown...

for example, if god knocked on my dorm room door and was like 'hey, i'm God. Watch me turn this cow into a duck' and did it.*

*note, it cannot be a magician dressed up as God.

I am clearly an atheist.

I do not believe in the existence of any gods.
However, I also meet this definition "1) One who believes that it is impossible to prove whether there is a God."

LOL that would sure be wild. but yes, i see where you are coming from. i sometimes question my own beliefs with me being agnostic. i wonder too much about science and creation. i wonder how all of this stuff got here in the first place.

That's a ridiculous assessment of divine structure and purpose.
