not really, what really sucks about 3rd world countries is the massive difference between poor and wealthy, but those wealthy in 3rd world countries easily match those wealthy here

The wealthy in (many) third-world countries actually do have LESS money than the wealthy here, but they live much better because stuff is cheap. For example, lot of my (high school) friends in Ecuador had maids to help clean their houses and do laundry, but most of their parents would fall well below the poverty line in the US.

for me wealthy means 1% of the population
