You need a "Meh" option.

I'm not huge into the MMORPGWTFBBQs; I have enough hobbies to eat time without adding something like that into the mix.

Agreed. If I was 14 again, I'd be all over it.

I can't afford to lose time by playing such time-demanding game.

I can't wait, played EQ for a few years but finally quit some months back. Sony ruined the game, attracted too many 10 year olds in the process, can't code for sh*t, and really rapes their customers.

Not all adults are so strapped for time ;) If you are, you might want to consider lifestyle / profession changes. You get ~75 years of sentience, why waste it working more than you have to? If you already have kids... I'm sorry :(

I agree with that. Sony pushed me away too because their customer service is horrible. They're really good a screwing over the people that have played FOREVER and log a lot of time on their servers.

Goooooooooo Wow. I plan on playing it, just hope I have enough time. My gf is worried she won't ever see me again when it comes out

Luckily, my g/f is anxiously awaiting it as well. We're both getting tired of City of Heroes. I love my gamer girl.

I'll probably pick it up, maybe 2 hours a day depending on how addicting it is.
I don't seem to stick with games though, I get bored of them fast. which might be bad with WoW

I never got into the MMORPG games, mostly because I would never be able to invest the hours per day that seemed necessary to "keep up." The more I read about WoW's leveling system ,the more interested I am in the game. When is it due? This November, maybe?

Heh, can't have your cake and eat it too... Either they take their time stomping out bugs and tweaking the game or they release a buggy piece of sh*t early. I've experienced WAY too much of the latter with Sony games, so I'm up for the former; I haven't once complained about Blizzard taking their time *pats self on back* :p On that note though I'm really dying for my mmorpg fix.

They're not time-demanding. They only become that way if you insist on playing them that way. They're a persistent world that you can visit anytime for any amount of time. You don't have to play 4-8 hours a day everyday.

As for WoW, it will tak a lot for Blizzard to ever win me back after Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3. :|

No, I'd never pay a monthly fee to play an online game.

It's not like you're paying to play some lame-ass deathmatch.

You're paying to keep servers and data secure and operational. For games like Asheron's Call, you're paying for monthly updates that include improvements and new additions to the game software-wise as well as story/content-wise....EVERY MONTH.

It's not for everyone, but don't knock it till you try it. The monthly fee gets you updates, tweaks, bug fixes, new content, and keeps a lot of the kiddies out.

Just curious, what was wrong with Wc3? Sure it isnt as good as Starcraft but its still a good game IMO.

So this is a problem to you with Blizzard, yet you're eagerly awaiting HL2? :p Trust me, it's better delaying something's release than releasing it too early and plagued by bugs. The only problem I have with HL2 in this area is all the false promises which have been made about its release date.

I played Everquest for 4 years, and am in the beta test for World of Warcraft. In my opinion the game is too easy and at time very boring(even moreso than everquest omgwtfbbq!). I probably won't be playing it. If I take up another MMORPG in the future it will be Eq2 or Vanguard most likely.
