So class starts up the following Monday or does Thanksgiving start your winter break? If it was the latter, okay, whatever, kicked out for winter break. But if it is the former, getting kicked out for 2-5 days, that's lame. Considering that some people might have to travel a good distance to get home and you already pay an exorbitant amount to live in campus housing (generally speaking).

Class starts back the following Monday. Winter break isn't until Dec 18th. Winter session starts Jan 5, goes seamlessly into Spring semester on Feb 4.

Wow, long winter break if you don't take classes during winter session. My last final for fall quarter is 12/8 (so break starts then for me) and classes resume 1/4 for winter quarter....

Thankfully, NO...but, I have to go to class Wednesday evening in Tracy...the freeways are gonna be one long parking lot...

I think the single worst commute I ever had was the Wednesday before turkey day a few years back. Took me over 5 hours to drive 90 miles.

I am going to drive back home to visit friends and family. It is an eight hour trip thanks to road construction / traffic.

I'm renting a car but since I don't have my own insurance it's probably going to run me ~$60 a day. I really only need the car to get there and get back. Not the 4 days in between. Anyone have any cheaper ideas?

Heading to NC to visit the wife's family. Should be a fun trip ... about 3.5 hours.

I'm going to travel to a Chinese restaurant with my parents for Thanksgiving this year. Probably have Peking Duck. Yum.

Fly, take a train/bus, rent a car for the trip there and the trip back as separate rentals?
