Are you too scared to buy dvds because 6 months later a better version will be out?

Anyone not buy DVDs because they know that as soon as they buy a DVD a new and better version will come out only a few months later for cheaper with better features?

I have the original Star Wars Trilogy on VHS but won't "upgrade" it to DVD until I can get a boxed set of all 6 episodes.

well considering you cant get the orginal star wars on DVD yet you dont need to worry.

Not hardly.

So I spend $15 on the LOTR cd. When the EE comes out, I sell the original for ~$10. In the end, I get to enjoy the original for six months and it ends up costing me a whopping $5.

Big deal.

The extended editions come out just before my birthday, so I get them as gifts. 😀

You must be a very lonely person, it's amazing the number of threads you have started in the past couple of months.

for LOTR yes. Hence I only have FOTR and will wait for a box set with the extended version of all 3.

if they are good, they will sell a box with ROTK.
however, PJ is also going to make The Hobbit so...think they are going to have an ultimate set with all 4?
