Are you sure CC is offering a rebate on the Toshiba PCX 1100 cable modems?

Just went there today and they said they had never heard of any rebate on it. Also there wasn't any rebate included in the @home kit as well. Their price was $199. The rebates are supposed to bring it down to anywhere between $75 and $125. Could someone help me out? I would be really grateful. I'm so confused!

The deal was only valid in certain areas and was being offered in conjunction with the local cable companies. If your local CC says there's no deal, then there's no deal. Try calling your cable company and see if they have any promos going.

In my area, this deal required that you buy the modem and the Comcast start kit. I went to a Circuit City that had only the Cox starter kit and was told that they didn't carry the necessary items for the promotion. Fortunately, there was one nearby that had the Comcast stuff.

If you find any deals on the modem, let us know....been waiting to get a cable modem for a couple weeks, but I want to catch a special on the modem, or off the installation...cox@home here in VA offers 1/2 off installation, but still want $75.00 for some clown to come over and read my serial number...

Helpless, I live in Herndon... I moved here recently and they gave me a deal on installation when I got cable TV and the RoadRunner cable modem service both installed at the same time. If you already have cable TV or don't want it, you probably can't get a deal like that though...

The Deal was to buy the Toshiba modem with the AT&T @Home kit together and the
cashregister printed out 2 seperate $50 rebates these expired on 2-4-01. Also there is an $75 rebate in
the AT&T @home kit it goes to 3-31-01 I think.

Here's what's printed on the receipt re the rebates:

"Qualifying Items Must Have been Purchased Between 01/01/01 and 02/04/01"

"[Rebate] Forms Postmarked later than 02/25/01 are ineligible"

(I just got my Toshiba cable modem (PCX1100) "provisioned" just a few minutes ago...Now gotta do the rebates! )
