Are you social? A social outcast?

LOL, I think at my roots I should be very social, but I don't have a lot of friends and I don't get out much... IOW, my soul wants to be social, but I'm not very popular at all, which hinders me.

I can be social in the right group. I like being social, but I don't really try that hard to make social opportunities. I'm not good at initiating social stuff.
 
how does one determine which option to choose?

it's all subjective. what are we basing it on?

I am not popular or anything, but I have friends and people I hang out with twice a week
during Monday - Friday, I am at work all day and usually spend those days by myself

so does this make me a loner?

Somewhat social. I definitely know how to enjoy myself in a social group.

However, lately I am losing touch with friends 🙁. I am looking for meetup.com groups to join to hopefully make new friends.
 
Not outcast, but not particularly social either. I like being social, but it seems to require more mental energy/effort for me than it does for most. That, and I've been antisocial for so long (up until recently) that I'm just used to going it alone. If I have a problem I'll be more than willing to tell you about it if you really want to hear it, but asking for help is usually the last item on my list of options.

So I guess I'm a loner who's social when he wants to be.
 
I'm pretty much a hermit IRL. The only time I leave the house is to run errands like groceries, go to a drive through, or ship something. This forum(PM's, posts, etc.) and the one phone call regarding the ATOT secret santa from about three years ago is as social as I get(other than helping family with computer problems-which I don't know if that really counts or not).

btw, antisocial != asocial. Look it up, anti-social means you want to harm society, asocial just means you don't fit in.
 
i probably lean social, i like to be around people for the most part.

on the other hand i have binges of just chilling with myself, and i also keep a smaller group of close friends than a larger group, and don't really like meeting new people that aren't attractive girls. Nor am i particularly good at it.

in my highschool the social 'nerds' hung out in the library.

I remember when someone got the first video/mp3 player, we watched porno in the library and got caught
