You actually believe that? There's no profit in it for them you know?

Now, if you are a gonner, if your cerebral cortex is shot, you'll be just as dead tomorrow as you'll be in a decade, in that case using your organs to save others isn't even part of the equation, you'll be pronounced dead either way and the ONLY way they are going to wait is to properly set up your body with blood thinner so they can harvest your organs more safely.

IOW, you'll be kept alive longer if they are going to harvest your organs after your death.

I know you like to troll people, but you can count me out for your extremist fun. What I said was true. Some people use their colons in a sexual way, which is tacky, disgusting and unacceptable. FYI, only 5% of people in Texas are registered as organ donors.

Disregarding the entire argument on whether to become a donor or not, one could safely assume the number of willing people is greater than this.

The difference can only be explained by poor education and lack of accessibility.

The following operations used grafts from my self.
When my time is done here I hope they can take whatever they need to help someone else.

Hardly. I have no real political affiliation. All I'm saying is that if you don't donate, you shouldn't be eligible for an organ if/when you might need one. People just keep giving excuses, like "oh what if you have HIV" - those are obvious exceptions, along with every obvious exception. Or that my religion says I can't be, really? Well so its not OK with your god that you give organs but OK that you get one? Sorry.

The rule would be written very simply - "If you are medically capable of being a donor, and are over the legal age (18) but have opted out of being an organ donor, you are not eligible to receive such." Its a two way street, you opt out both ways when you opt out.
