Yeah, it's a great concept but I have my doubts about how it will work in practice. I'll let someone else guinea pig it for me.

Does it produce a smell? No. Because we're not actually burning the hair, it doesn't produce a burnt hair smell.

Pulsed frequency modulation - I think. I think it's the same technique used with eximer lasers. But either way, I think the idea is to get the hair shaft to absorb the laser energy and decompose as a result. Maybe it's not technically "burning" but it's pretty close.

My ex went in for many rounds of laser hair removal. Going for the perma-landing strip look if you get me. She was a redhead with fair skin and light colored hair redhead, and it never quite worked the way it was supposed to, even after many sessions. I'll believe this when I see it.

Being familiar with how laser energy works, I have serious doubts a laser of that size would make a practical razor. Even large units for removing hair require slow movements and several treatments.
