Why you young brats! When I first joined I had to punch out dozens of cards, transfer them on to magnetic tape, and carry them to the post office to mail in to AT just to post a reply!

Seriously, I wish I knen when I joined. Back in the old days I had to recreate my account at least once and maybe twice. Now if good old operation 3Dfx was still here...

I joined because every friggn' time I try to look up any even remotely computer related tech question on google, AT comes up! (usually more than once) So I got to thinking ... "These people must have all the answers" so I joined and found out I was wrong, it was just you guys! :) (kidding, kidding)

But do remember to be nice to us noobs, for we are the "lifers" and "diamond members" of tommorow! (moment of reflective silence)

I'm happy that I joined long enough ago to not be considered a noob anymore. :D

"No not particularly considering it isn't even an accurate Date. All members of the old UBB forums (preceded current forums) had to reregister as new members when Anandtech switched to the current forums. I think my true date is someplace back in 97"

Yep, I remember those days. Mucho problems and outages. A big  to the job being done here today. :)

I'm not at all proud of my join date, because it's wrong. I first joined in 1998 or early 1999 but have had to set up new user IDs twice since then because AT didn't have a good password recovery system until more recently.
