Are you playing Mega Millions drawing on Friday?

I bought a ticket yesterday and the cash option value is $143,500,000.00. Take out 35% in taxes and you have about $93,275,000.00

I figured I would share half with the family so that would leave me about $46 million in cash. I think I would then finally have enough to buy a second home in Manhattan. :wine:

I bought one ticket. Hope I get lucky. 🙂

Texas? No state taxes on lottery winnings, so only 25% federal tax = $108,000,000.00 http://www.usamega.com/mega-millions-jackpot.asp

Sorry, but you still have to pay a 35% Federal Tax regardless of what state you live in. While it is bracketed until you reach it at $357k+, the difference is marginal.
