I'm not saying it isn't your right to act in an evil manner, it is - that right protects similar behavior when it's for a better reason.
You're right Craig, I am evil, and it is my right to do whatever I want. Part of it was happenstance as if the market was doing better then I might be more inclined to liquidate some stock (though my investments are all pretty sound so not much of a decline if any) and also if there was something I really wanted I would have to go out of my way to get it, and if I decide to get my wife some nice and expensive un-necessary thing this year I doubt I will bother going to lengths to get it outside of the country, though that could be an option.
I would love to see what your response would have been to someone making a similar statement during the past administration...
I am just doing my part to be as fiscally conservative as possible and build up more personal savings, then in eight years I can buy another new car, move into another house, and buy all those things I don't need now.
