Are you optimistic or pessimistic?

I'm incredibly optimistic, pretty much all of the time. It drives my wife nuts, who is primarily pessimistic and believes very much that "the grass is greener..."
 
People are inherently evil.
The grass is always greener.
I trust no one; you must EARN my trust.
The glass is half empty AND the half that's left is spoiled.

if you are in the process of filling a glass then you have filled it half-full.
if you are in the process of drinking from a glass then you have left it half-empty.
