Kind of strange.
Sounds like it's working. ;)

I took Zoloft for depression for over 12 years and quit taking them about 5 months ago. Long story, but I really didn't need them any more. Unfortunately, because of the way the Doctors are so paranoid nowadays, it's nearly impossible to get them to support you in ceasing taking any long term meds even if you have a good reason. So, I just tapered off on the amount I was taking over several months and finally quit. It was very hard, even after taking 1/3 of what my prescription was for several weeks. Man, that stuff really had it's hooks in me.

I also took Xanax and some other prescription sleep aid for a couple of years and quit taking that stuff because I was addicted to them as well. I quit taking them 2 years ago. That was also kind of rough not being able to sleep for a month or more. It didn't take too long before I didn't need them. Unfortunately, I pretty much had to quit them cold turkey.

I do feel better though. It's kind of nice being able to feel emotions that I simply hadn't felt in a couple of years because of the meds.

So, I've been completely prescription drug free for about 5 months now.

Strattera for the ADD
Wellbutrin for the depression
clorozepate for the anxiety

I'm going to be seeing a new doctor and getting a reevaluation (I enjoy being psychologically tested entirely too much :)) soon. Maybe I'll be able to drop one or more (but probably not all) of the medicines. It royally sucks to miss a dose; the first two cause withdrawal symptoms, and the anxiety can be horrible when I have to suddenly feel it at full force.

Rheumatoid arthritis meds - metholtrexate and hydroxycholriquine. I think they're about to put me on Enbrel.

I take naproxen (Aleve) pretty regularly for an over the counter drug. I also take oxycodone as needed. I was on Oxycontin when I had pain pretty regular, now just take a quick acting oxy as needed. They make me feel happy too. :)

I was taking hydrocodone (Vicodin) but it didn't help with the pain much, though the side effects were ok. :p Morphine just made me dizzy, and I still hurt. Oxy works wonders on me.

I have lower back problems, disk problems.

I'm taking Prilosec OTC(just started this morning) but I don't think that really counts as meds...I've been getting heart burn a lot recently up to 4-5 times a week. Tums only helped for a few hours and Pepcid was ok for a day but I would end up getting it again the next day. Figured I would try something a bit more powerful. Hopefully this will set my stomach straight.
