bolded for truth. BTW, I was not gloating, just detailing how the position is out in the public, which I felt answered a "yes" to the OP's question.

PS. I will NOT be president at the end of this year...I hate being in this position.

Oh, and I'm still awsome. :p
Hell yeah you are champ.

Speaking of which I've got a cleaning coming up with my hygienist. My teeth are good but I've never been good with my gums, recession swelling and some gingivitis, and she never forgets to let me know it :( Wish she was pretty, then maybe I'd be motivated to do better! Hay maybe you should do mine ;)
gum disease is such a turn off. :sneaky:

<----- not a big deal.

However, no one will be more loyal to you if I like what I see or more of a pain in your side if you truly piss me off. I've also been described as exceedingly patient.

depends in what sense:

in the general public eye, no.

in the sense of strategic positioning to get through life in order to make ends meet, provide the needs of my family and not make waves or attract unwanted attention in the process, yes.

At the moment - I am not. Anyone out there on these forums who is?

Oh, if you are, please list how (in what way).
Since everyone seems too self absorbed to ask, I will. "At the moment" implies you have something on the "back burner" that could make you a "big deal". I am interested to know what it is.

You sound like someone who has interpreted and understood life only through a series of metaphor and nice little analogies. I'm sure you enjoy your little "chicken soupy" grasp on things, but the truth is that while this may all sound nice and convenient...none of it flies when you actually get into the real world.

Ehhh ... I dunno man ...
If you're born with a silver spoon up your ass you often don't learn how to live, and then eventually mommy/daddy might cut you off and then you're fvcked.

Of course if you're born into total poverty in some shithole, then theres' pretty much a 100% chance your fvcked....

Why would it? Did this guy Rich Mahogany bang your wife, eat your food, then fart or something? :\

I have no food
I have no wife
A fart would smell like a fart, not like rich mahogany.

Did your dog poop in the refrigerator and eat the whole wheel of cheese?
If that happened to me, I wouldn't even be mad, I would just be impressed.

I was just stating facts and quoting a movie, lol.

And my AV is a bad picture, It's probably been at least 5 years since I've let my beard get that out of control...

I'm in an ambitious phase of my life lately, lots of little projects with potential and an idea or two for a non-profit that could also lead to some notoriety.

I'll probably start a somewhat silly thread this week to promote one of those websites that people around here will find useful, actually. But not tonight!

None of my examples are analogies or metaphors, I know these people. I can walk out my door and not go far without seeing some refugees. My real world is in the thick of things, so maybe I have a better perspective on it than you?

Zin, take a chance and hope for the world. Drop the pessimism and take up idealism. Want something good to happen, rather than expecting the worse. Want the world to get better, rather than assuming it can't. You'll be a better person for it. I'm not showing you a fantasy world that is perfect, I'm showing you the same imperfect world that is overcoming.

The "biggest deal" visitor (IMO) I saw on AT was probably that guy from Runic Games who wrote (or recorded I don't remember) the music for Diablo and Torchlight. I think he only posted in that one thread though.

Oh, and I think I saw a thread in P&N where people were talking about a politician, and either the politician or his PR rep came on and responded. Again, only for that post though.

Anyone know of any others, past or present that are known to be a big deal? I'm curious if we are among the famous here at AT ;)

unexpectedly, none of those politicians are big deals, though. I remember it happening 2x on AT. One was in a thread that I opened on election eve (I think) 2008, regarding some local dude and his political semi-scammery. dude was hilarious. :D

sounds a whole lot like prayer, which as we all know, leads to nothing.

Are you familiar with this word: "Do?"
;)
