I am curious about this. I understand people drive fast and are rushed during the weekday because they need to get to work, drop off the kids, get groceries, meet appointments and countless other things. Then they need to get home so they can relax a bit and eat dinner so they can go to work the next day. It's our typical busy lifestyle, especially during weekdays.
On the weekend, I see the same story - people rushing about all the time. I doubt all these people are going to work or meeting appointments. It's like patience is something totally absent in society now. I do not see it much if at all. You can see the expressions on people's faces as they are waiting in line at a store. Or the way they drive - foot to the pedal.
During the holiday season, when people should be a bit more relaxed, it seems like the stress levels might be even higher. Thus, the whole rushing about lifestyle keeps on going on, never relenting even on off days.
I am not different. My patience is also less and I easily get ticked off and lose control. For instance, when I'm trying to get home because I think I spent a lot of time at work, my patience on the roads can wear thin.
