Irritated earlier, pleasantly relaxed now.
Let's see...for the last two days I've had three different meetings scheduled for the day that kept slipping, hour by hour, for the entire day, and eventually never came together at all. Not that I had any urge to actually have meetings myself, but having to be prepared and not go off to do other things was annoying. I got the digital proofs in for a shoot from last week (stills for a movie poster) and everything was completely unusable; it looked like the entire day's work would have to be redone, and everything needs to be in to the graphics artist no later than Tuesday. After getting everything scheduled for tomorrow, it turns out that the lab had messed up their scanner and the film itself is probably fine. So it's now being rescanned at another lab. I've got people driving me crazy by not finishing the scripts for parts I'm supposed to do, but continuously rewriting the parts that have been finshed, so anything I've been able to prepar for is now obsolete, and I've got another production company that is addicted to scheduling vast numbers of "workshops" for the actors even though they keep not coming through with the background materials they were supposed to have provided months ago. I'd feel more enthusiastic if the production company was actually doing anything besides trying to schedule meetings to talk about how great the movie is going to be...or if we were getting paid for this part.
...and I had a couple of scenes and a lot of pickup shots for a movie being shot out here on Sunday...and they accidentally packed up the power supply for the 20" LCD monitor I use on my own video editing computer and nobody can find it. The best theory is that somebody thought it was a notebook power supply and stuffed it into a notebook case which then went to someone else who took off for New York with it.
But after the last meeting scheduled for today finally cancelled (instead of just being further postponed), I went outside and moved a bunch of rocks. That was nice. The wind was just right, it's a lovely sunset, the air smells great right now, and I like where the rocks are better. If it weren't so late now, I'd go get some more rocks.
