Nothing, necessarily. Let's put it another way though: If you found out a long-time, good friend of yours was gay, would it change how you felt about them? Would you think less of them?

If I found out a friend was secretly a member of the KKK, for instance, I would think much less of them. If I found out a friend was gay, it would have zero impact on how I valued their friendship.

Do you dislike them because of how (some of them) act, or based simply on their sexual orientation?

Just like you find it wrong to be a member of the KKK, I find it very, very, very wrong to want a dick in your mouth or in your ass.

I'm not scared of gays at all and very much indeed think less of somebody because they choose to enjoy having a dick in their mouth or in their ass.

I can accept that, and to a degree I can respect your ability to be upfront about it. But I can't respect your opinion, and I wouldn't be surprised if you felt the same way about mine.

The problem is that the issue usually boils down to fundamental personal beliefs about what is inherently, meaningfully immoral and what is not. When some of you ask "Why would you care? How does it affect you if someone is gay?", what you're really doing is asking someone to condone what they consider to be unconscionable behavior. It shouldn't come as a surprise that they're unyielding, anymore than you would be if asked to validate the lifestyle of a murderer, software pirate, jay-walker, take your pick. All you can reasonably argue is that someone's core philosophical beliefs are invalid, and that's obviously not an easy fight.

But I'm sure most of us knew this already and just came in here to pick at each other. Carry on.

I do it all teh time!

I have a few gay friends, and they do the same!

From what I've learned, i love you is to Gays what N*gg*r is to African Americans. I'm invoking both Richard Pryor and Chris Rock here....

Congrats Spidey - not only have you proved yourself the most ignorant, disgustingly, inbred backwards motherfucker on these forums, you've backed up every Southern stereotype there is.

Good show!

I'm fine with people being gay (I mean, what could they possibly do about it? you are what you are) but I don't like it when straight guys do the whole effeminate snorgle-snorgle thing. Either be gay and proud/nonchalant/whatever about it or be straight. Straight guys trying to look prettier than their girlfriend and walking/moving/dancing just strikes me a wrong. A part of me goes, "Why can't this dude just pick a side already? Whom is he kidding?"

I admit there are many who take it too far, but what you said was a slippery slope. It is true some guys like to look nice and there is no issue with that, and it is also true some take it too far, but the ripped jeans wearing flannel shirt wearing troglodytes are just as bad as the guys who shave their eye brows every morning. Again, it's a compromise.

What about lesbians? They are the one group that absolutely hates dick as much as you do.

I'd say you're an honorary lesbian! :p

I would pay money to see what would happen if a guy accidentally brushed up against his junk.

It is possible to dislike something and yet not fear it. For instance, I dislike brocolli and jazz music, yet do not fear them.

There needs to be a word for people who dislike gays.

I have no problem with gay ppl unless they're trying to tell/prove/show me how superior they are over normal hetero ppl.

Like any other porn, gay porn is free thanks to the wonder of the internets. No reason to pay for it.

Let them eat cake!

But seriously, I was hit upon tonight by a homosexual fellow (same guy from the last few times). I was flattered, as always. I view it as no different than a straight male hitting on a female.

If the Christians want to keep marriage, I say let them. As long as everybody is entitled to civil unions, I'm fine with it. Let the "religious" keep their marriage. Let the rest of us, straight and gay alike, have civil unions.

BTW:

I took advantage of it and got a couple of free drinks from the gay bartender.

Not so much afraid as weird-ed out. Even then it's not gay people that I mind, it's the gay people who flaunt it. Obviously this is a generalization, but when I see a guy who flaunts the stereotypical gay culture (pastel colors, unnaturally high voice and such) I get a kind of a disgusted WTF. It's like watching a dog meow and fuck a cat. Sure there may be nothing "wrong" with the dog and it's probably not the dog's fault; and I'm sure as hell not afraid of the dog, but there's still an instinctive sense that something's fucked up.

I'm not homophobic. I'm just heterocentric.
Yeah, we know you're gay, now be quiet.
Ninety percent of the population is straight, but you'd never know that if you watch the news.

I lol at the whole "I don't approve of what they do but I'm not homophobic" response that's so popular. Sorry guys but you can't have it both ways. If you feel uncomfortable around gay men then you might want to examine exactly why that is. Some part of you feels threatened and while you may not personally label that homophobia it boils down to the same thing. Like I said above my manager is gay and is a friend and I know many other gay people (some flamboyant some not) and have absolutely no problem with "what they do". If a gay man were to hit on me I'd kindly mention I was straight and take it as a compliment.

What if a straight guy was having a really bad night and wanted to cuddle with you to make him feel better?

Being attractive to gay men != being attractive to women.

I know your joking but jokes aside to answer seriously he wouldn't be straight if he genuinely wanted to "cuddle" so I'd have to say sorry I'm not gay. If he just wanted some company, even a hug, because he had a really shitty day I might, depends on if it was a stranger or not.
