I couldn't care less about what other people do unless it somehow affects me. On the other hand, I don't bend over backwards to be gay-friendly. For example, I will never watch Brokeback Mountain.

What they are doing is wrong, and gross, but I don't really fear them, especially if they already have a boyfriend then I know they wont try to flirt with me or anything.

One of my friend's friend is gay and you'd never know it. He's a normal guy, he's not even fagish like most gay people. When he came out of the closet I thought he was joking around, it took me a few days to realize it was true.

It's a choice, and you can't really force people to change it.

lol

No pole so I can vote anonymously?

Anon not welcomed here. :|

but I bet you would get a drastically different response than what you are seeing here with an anonymous poll. With that said, I have no problems with gay people or their lifestyle. I am straight fwiw

I didn't put up a poll for a reason. This thread is about fear, letting someone vote anonymously wouldn't make people admit to or address their fears.

..disagreement with a point of view, philosophy or life style fails to meet the criteria of "phobia" which is fear. Be advised I can and will disagree with no inkling of "fear". Homophobia is an invention of insecurity and guilt.

Actually they kind of crack me up,..hmm.

Ive met so many lesbians that hate men and then dress like freakin lumberjacks. I call it the lesbian uniform. Jeans boots and a flannel shirt with a ballcap. If you hate men so much why would you try to be one?

So "yes" then.

O M G

Where is a fire when you need one?

A better question may be how many of you say homophobic jokes/remarks?

Or even simpler, how many of you use 'gay' as a derogatory term?

i only use queer in the most sincere ways.
my friends call themselves queer, i always thought it was somewhat derogative, but i guess if it doesn't bother them, it can't be too bad as long as you don't say it while carrying a weapon and chasing them around.

I've been known to say: stomp that i love you out. 😀

What I meant was that many people say "That's gay" when saying something is bad. Or they say "You're a i love you" when trying to insult somebody.

I do none of that. 🙂

I guess I don't understand why some guys are so afraid of gay people. While I am perfectly straight, I have no problem with making jokes about taking it up the pooper. If I find out that someone is really homophobic, I will mess with him non-stop.

Just because I don't like talking about anal sex with gay guys doesn't mean I'm homophobic.

I certainly will never understand what makes one gay. Being a straight male, it just doesn't make any sense. However I couldn't care less about choices other people make that don't affect me.
