True, but NYC is also a very large city, Yankees have a huge fan base, and there is a lot of money there. If you were to take a ratio of the amount of money spent on the team vs. amount of revenue brought in, I'm sure it would be a comparible ratio to that of say the red sox and other great teams.

Its like asking why Bill Gates would have x computers, x cars, x this and that. The answer is simply: "Because he is able to."

I guess my point is: If the other teams were to have a sudden surge in revenue, they would probably be more apt to spend more on players etc.

Yeah they have a few player that come out of their farm/draft,but the majority of them are not born as a yankees( specificly their pitching, beside rivera)

You don't like the rules, argue for a salary cap. I'd actually agree with you, and I'm a Yankees fan born & raised in NY. But hating them for doing what they can within the ruleset to win is ridiculous. That's like hating a player for using cleats or lifting weights.

Yes but not because I hate them, it's because I get a kick out of watching Stienbrenner have a caniption fit when they suck! They'll play better as the season goes as will the Red Sox.

:thumbsup:, I hate him too. The yankees were a better team with better character when they utilized the farm system more.
