I wouldn't mind a female president. I don't think the rest of the country is that open minded.
Kennedy was the last CATHOLIC president. If we have issues electing a white male who is not protestant how tolerant do you think the US will be of a female. The answer is not very.

How will America adjust to a female President? Discuss.

Don't hold your breath. IMHO, it's far more likely we'll see a minority male in office, most likely as the VP, long before we'll see a female. Even those people that love female politicians as senators or governors draw the line when it comes to the white house, and no woman has ever been able to mount an effective campaign.

And for those too young to remember, the only man who made the foolish mistake of thinking that having a woman as his VP running mate would get him the win won two areas of the country.......Washington DC, and his home state. That was a landslide victory of Ronald Reagan's, against Walter Mondale. :)

I can handle it if they can find someone with the qualifications.
1) we won't have one in 2 years
2)I don't believe one is electable yet, the first logical step would to get one to the VP.

Hahahaha... Everyone keeps saying "less than two years, less than two years..."

We won't have a woman as president in less than two years unless enough people die at once, quit at once or are impeached and convicted at once to get Condi in there.

People... look at your calendars. We still have the half of '06, ALL of '07, ALL of '08 and most of January in '09 before we have a new president. (Barring, like I said above, death, resignation, or that impeachment thing)

31 months != less than two years.

I take it your post is based on the faulty (IMO) presumption that Hilary and Condi Rice will receive the nominations of their respective parties. Rice, in particular, will probably never run (or at least she's been quite clear she won't), and almost certainly won't as soon as 2008.

Hillary will run, be selected by her party, and win the election. This is the only likely outcome.

Hahahhahahahaha.

hahahhaahha.

hahah.

Wow. You need a good dose of reality. :p

He's gay and he lives in Australia. Not that there's anything wrong with that... but that should give you some insight to his take on American politics.

Hillary is going to bring out Bill to campaign for her, don't underestimate the effect of that. Clinton will get media coverage, and he'll be going around saying vote for Hillary it'll be the peaceful and prosperous 90's all over again.

I've made that point before. (In this thread I think)
You're right. As unlikable as she is... She has a huge ace in the hole with Bill.

what a bizarre comment. and no, I am not "gay" - not that that would have anything to do with the amount of knowledge I have re: US politics
