HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA!

Wait in line for the 360....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My time is worth WAY more then that. I'll never wait in line for any game, barring Black and White which i "waited in line" for. Only because I got off work and showed up to the store 20 minutes before they opened, so waited until they opened.

But otherwise hell no, I'm not waiting in line for a damned game. Believe it or not, there IS a life outside of ones and zeros.

well.. considering that they are selling right now for $650 - $700 on average.. I will.
$400 is better than spending $700.

I'm gonna get 2 for $850
Sell one on ebay for $700 and than gets me an Xbox 360 for $150! :)

this is true. I predict they will hit $1000 - $1200 about 2 weeks before Xmas. Everyone will want one and there will be none found in the stores. Ebay will start to run out too since the majority of the ones being sold RIGHT NOW are Pre-Orders. Meaning the first shipment is pretty much sold out. 2nd shipment may not arrive until after Xmas.

I don't know if anyone remembers but last xmas PS2's and Xboxes were having shortages as well. I saw Xboxes last xmas selling for $350 on ebay! No games included. The shortage lasted thru February of this year. It was a biatch to get one. Expect it to be worse this xmas.

This means if you have one.... cha chin! :p

I'm getting 3 and my brother in law is getting 2 and we get them at employee discount -15% ALL PROFIT =)

Our plan is to hold onto them until 12/10 then sell (we estimate $800+ each)

Ah, life is good....

You know what makes me really sad about this whole ordeal (Seriously).
It shows just how ruled by marketing we are.

If I cant find the toy my kid has to have, he doesnt get it. He'll live. I think its safe to say most of these 600+ prices are paid by parents, getting them for kids. There is no way in all that is holy I'm going to pay 2-4 times retail to get my kid his must-have toy. I think it sets a very bad precedent to the chicldren.

Ahhh, how our society has fallen. :(

Best of luck to those selling them on Ebay, I hope you make a mint from it. :)

It's a vicious cycle and it started with the orignal xbox, the week after they sold out everywhere they were selling for upwards of $1500 for just the system.

I plan on boosting one:Q. In all seriousnessness the only things I'd wait in a line for are the right Concert tickets, food if need be, and my turn on Mrs. Bukkake:Q

Theres a difference between capitalism, and literally showing no restraint whatsoever in your drive to get what you want and by doing so instilling absolutely no sense of self control in your children.

Wonder why we have little bratty sh1ts for kids running around these days? This could be a large part of it. Parents who cannot tell the kids "No."

Alas, we're getting off topic.

The only reason why I do the midnight launches and first showings is just for the heck of it. I personally don't like everyday life (I find it incredibly boring) so I like to make things like this into something different (it reminds me of when I was a kid and I'd get excited for just about everything).

I mean, I don't get caught up in all the hoopla and go crazy and I wouldn't spend an extra 50% to get something just because its new, but sometimes its just kinda cool to do something different.

Its all the better if you can drag your friends into it and make it into something memorable. Around the time when GT3 was supposed to launch, several of my friends and I went on a road-trip to a bunch of different towns (lived in a small town that doesn't have any place to buy games or anything) to see if we could find it. Apparently it hadn't actually been released yet, and so we couldn't get it, but it was still fun anyways.
