Is the small performance gain worth the upgrade? If so, when will we be able to purchase one of these?
 
yes, but only because the kt266a will be getting phased out by the time i get ready to purchase, either that or i will get an Nforce board.
 
If I were building a new system, probably. But I don't think my 761 is sluggish enough yet to justify buying a new mobo.
