shadow has kinda of gone flat for me. I still like him, but i'd like to see him do more collaborations because his solo stuff just doesn't seem to have nearly as much range.

I actually liked Private Press...it's one of the few full albums I downloaded illegally and burned to a CD on it's own. Most albums I download, I erase within a few minutes... :D

btw, has anyone here ever heard of Rob the Viking? He's amazing but has only put out one CD and now produces for Swollen Members.

I don't listen to hip hop / rap / r&b or whatever that stuff counts as.

However, if I was into that type of music, I certainly would want to support the artists and pay for the music.

His music often gets lost in the shuffle of all this worshipping / hating, which is a shame cause he really does do some cool things. His last album was received well by the audience of his first, but I have a feeling that was just residual fumes off Endtroducing. Private Press was really on some different ****** and I know a lot of people who just didn't get it, and a bunch of salty digger dudes who were not impressed with the 80s / rock / programmed touches (guess what? you missed out on something fun again). No surprise that Shadow has switched up his style once again. If you've only heard "3 Freaks(1)" with Turf Talk and Keak, it's not really a true reflection of the album. He goes hyphy a couple other times, but the sound here is really varied. Other guests include David Banner, Q-Tip and Lateef on "Enuff(2)," Phonte from Little Brother, and more. It's fifteen bucks there but you get the Diplo mix cd. No idea if it comes close to the podcasts but whatever. I think it's an OK record with a few standout tracks (seein' thangs) but it's all over the place. Worth $10 but no more.

im going to pass. even though he does have a track on there with tay of little brother and another one with the abstract poetic and lateef i was hoping for more quannum artists on this effort. but i wish zack de la rocha would reconnect with him, bang out a few more songs and finally release his solo album.

His In-tune and On-time Live CD was good.

Hey if you don't like him you don't like him. If you like him you like him. Some songs I like some songs I don't whatever, don't judge someone just because of "ZOMG HIP HOP SUCKS" or "ZOMG DJS SUCK". Whatever, just shows your stuck in the past.

Edit: Go to itunes and listen to some other songs on the CD.
