I might. It sounds like the first truly unique game to be released in a long time. However, it is an EA game, which means I cannot in good conscience buy the game the day its released. Logic and good sense dictate that I must wait a week or so to see how buggy, or DRM'd it is before buying. If its buggy or overly crippled by DRM, then I will not purchase it.

Honestly i think it's going to be mediocre, they're going for too much to make any of it great. Definitely waiting on reviews at the least.

Normally I would agree, but look at how long they are taking to release it. Doesn't EA usually push it out as soon as possible to starting making cash? I'm sure Will Wright has to do with it. He is making sure it is done right and that there wont be any major issues.

I've had the game pre-ordered for close to 2 years now..ROFL

The game itself looks to at least offer some good replayability..EA does normally push things out quickly an unfinished but this does not appear to be the case. Unfortunately I believe it might turn into another SIMS franchise.

Basically meaning that we will have to buy 30 billion extra Xpac's instead of nice free updates.

The only other problem is the amount of hype the game has received. It will turn into Independence Day (The Movie) which was a decent enough movie, but had so much hype behind it I was extremely dissapointed.

I support Will Wright taking a serious risk on an over ambitious project. So yea, I'm gonna get it. Sometimes I support projects not because they end up good, but because they make the rest of the industry think.

When I first saw it I was excited as hell, as the last two years went on I have pretty much pushed it to the side. If it comes out and is good then heck yeah I will buy it.

I think I read an interview somewhere by Will Wright, saying that EA was giving him free-reign to make the game great, no matter how long it takes. I think EA has been coming around to the fact that pumping unfinished games then firing the developers was not a great business plan.

Yes, Will Wright is brilliant. Sure, I dislike EA, but not enough to affect my buying decisions because the DRM really has not affected me personally.

Well, you can't really argue that this game has been rushed and I'm interested to see how the game turns out. So pending reviews... I intend to buy it. Sorry, I'm not going to avoid all games bearing the the EA brand.
