The Xbox360 GPU is completely different from the r520 if all the rumors are true.

Now: ATi is a slight advantage in speed, nvidia has SM3.0 where ATi only has 2.0+, ATi's card also supports hardware video decoding

Next gen: (still rumors) nvidia: 24 pipe SM3.0 card 110nm now, ATi: 32 pipe SM3.0 90nm supposedly a month from now, but rumors says they have problem producing the chips. Nvidia might launch a 32 pipe card after ATi launch theirs.

I could care less. My 6800GT runs everything that is thrown at it, it won't really matter for me until a true test comes out like FEAR or Quake 4

Your 6800GT will rape Quake 4. It's just the Doom 3 engine which runs like buttah on 6800s. I have the same card.

Have you tried playing Doom 3 DM?
6+ players fighting = INSTANT SLIDESHOW :(

There was a good reason iD limited DM to 4 people. Current hardware can not keep up with multiple explosions and fightings in the D3 engine. Trust me, Quake 4 DM will destroy any current setup short of SLI. As for the single player I have no idea how it will run, hopefully it will run just as well as D3 Single player.. But then again, wtf is Quake without some crazy DM????

only some of my games are starting to stutter in places 'cause I'm running at 1280x1024 now cause thats the native on my LCD . . . .
Its got at least another year left in it, though.

I was expecting a bigger leap in performance, to be honest. Compare the 3DMark05 score of a 5900 Ultra to a 6800 Ultra...percentage wise. Now compare a 6800 Ultra to a 7800 Ultra.

So far it handles BF2 at 1600x1200 @ medium.

Haven't tried bumping it to high yet though.
