Where do you measure waist at again, is it at the belly button, slightly below it or what.

That's a good question!

Technically it should be around your belly button. If you get fitted for a suit, for example, that is how they will typically measure you.

However most people, myself included, do not wear their pants around the belly button but rather well pants below the below button which, typically, be a smaller circumference than around your entire abdomen.

I always assumed it was your waist measurement.

I have never been measured around my bellybutton (or by Joey's tailor who measures both inseams, like in prison 😉).

Again it is traditional to have suits fitted around your belly button - look at old Fred Astaire type movies and how their pants are worn.

However in contemporary fashion it is, obviously, typical to wear less formal clothing on your hips or below your navel - however you want to define that area that most guys were jeans.

No, you need to dispense with the idea of "diet" and exercise, period.

To me:

Diet means "what I eat".

Diet does not mean "dieting".

MotionMan

Same here, but it's pretty obvious from Quasmo's post that is not the case for him.

I'm a 36 ... have been since I weighed 180 lbs in High School ... now I'm significantly more than that, probably 230, but the weight is not in my waist or legs. Beer belly ftl. I'm working on it though.

38, but dropping (I have lost 15+ lbs. recently due to exercise).

MotionMan

fixed and keep going! gj

Are you saying diet has nothing to do with it?

News to me. I've been working out every other day for the past year and I have only just maintained my weight. You need to do both.

And again, diet doesn't mean "going on a diet" as in doing the SlimFast plan or something. It means not eating cookies or fried food no matter how much you want to, and only eating when you're hungry, and not overeating. It means your eating habits as a whole.

But you're a known troll and lunatic anyway, so nevermind.

Aren't you in awe with how classy that debonair man presents himself?

My waist fits in 36 but I always find it to snug on my thighs so I usually go with 38, but it depends on how it fits more than anything.

I just watched that movie. It is like a train wreck - I do not want to watch, but I cannot turn away.

Yea I'm around 44 similar weight. I'm powerful.

I've asked several people what they think I weigh and none have come within 50 pounds of my actual weight. I carry it well. I'd like to think my legs wiegh 100 pounds a piece 🙂
