Are You Close to Your Cousins?

I come from a huge Greek family, and we are really tight knit. My cousins (I have 26 of them) are almost like brothers and sisters to me. But I have met people who barely even know their cousins.

I am curious to hear from you folks, how close are you to your cousins? Are you really good friends with them, or something more, or a lot less? I don't really want to create a poll, but I would like to know other peoples experiences of the cousin relationship.

I'm pretty close with my cousins. Not close like Godfather III....
Probably because we all live pretty close to each other.

Nope, all my cousins live in the east of the US while I'm the only person in my family who lives on the other side of the Mississippi.

I'm close to 3 of my male cousins who live in Germantown, TN. (Closest to one whose 3 years younger than I am - we set fires together, ran from the cops together, basically were twin Dennis the Menaces ) The other 2 I'm semi close to but not as close as the other ones, and all my other cousins I hardly talk to and quite honestly don't care much about.

I only have two. They live about 2 1/2 hours away, just close enough to see every once in a while, but not far enough that I never see them. And then there are two "step cousins" (children of my aunt's husband from his first marriage) that I've never met before.

Nope, not at all. The last time I saw one of my cousins was about 4-5 years ago. And I live within 25 miles of most of my cousins.

I would say not really just because we dont visit like every week, mostly just on big holdays or occasions and stuff. Its not like we dont ever see them though. Just yesterday the 'families' were over here to celebrate my bros graduation...

I have quite a few cousins actually...dad had 5 other siblings, mom had 4 other siblings, but, the ones that are actually within 2 hours from here (all the rest are either in Oregon, or all the way to India) my dad got mad with my Uncle, so we don't talk to them anymore Hopefully I'll make the connections later in life after college or sumptin...because of a feud between my dad and uncle, the two families are cut off

Nope, not one of them really. I have like eleventy billion of them cause my dad is one of 13 kids and this is a Catholic family. I am the youngest of the generation by far and most of them are in their 30's/40's (I'm 22).

Well, you know some families are pretty tight. Why go searching for love when the answer lies in the same gene pool.
