The only way I got it to work was to click on Chat and send myself a chat invite to the room.

You click on the Chat button at the bottom of the AIM Window. For the chat room name use ATOT.

Right click on any other SN send a chat invitation, replace with yoru username and enter ATOT as chat room name.
