I'd saying being attracted to the spawn of billy ray cyrus is worse than being attracted to a 16 year old.
 
It's a disease to be attracted to children. Everyone knows this!!! The question is how do you define children. I think we can all agree that 8 and 9 year olds are children and it's a disease to be attracted to them sexually. But 16 and 17 year olds, I don't think anyone would consider them anything but teens. It's biology to be attracted to them even if it's illegal to act on that in most places. The law is there to protect these teens because their bodies may be developed but their minds might not be fully yet.

FYI: Pedophilia is being attracted to prepubescent children. When you reach mid to late teens, it's not pedophilia.

I'm not so convinced that such a category indeed exists. I think it's more likely that society has deemed it taboo to be attracted to a 16 year old. Again I restate that to be attracted to a 5 year old is in my mind nothing but a disease but a 16 year old is just natural biology. There is a reason they call it pre and post pubescent. Because once you have crossed this biological line you are now at sexual maturity. I don't care what society of the past 5 or 600 years has to say on the topic, evolution of the past 100 million years wins out on this issue. It's NATURAL to be attracted to a sexy 16 year old and we don't need designations like whateverphilia for this. I'm not saying that a 40 year old should have sexual relations with a 16 year old. There are reasons society make this taboo, good reasons. But it's biologically 100% natural to feel sexually attracted.

I'm not too sure that this is taboo, but I believe it is taboo to be attracted to a 5 year old.

I know damn well I was tremendously attracted to a lot of the girls around me when I was 14. Taboo? Nobody told me. :awe: When I was 12 I fancied I was in love with a certain platinum blond in my class, but I wasn't "attracted" to her. We parted ways when we left grammar school and I saw her again in high school (went to different junior high schools). She was very unattractive by high school, a real pity. Man, in junior high there were some seriously sexy babes (13-15, but I didn't start finding them really sexy until they were 14 or so, or maybe it was me).

It is perfectly natural to be physically attracted to any female who is physically developed. Look at the middle ages. Women being married and having kids in their early-mid teens was pretty common. Obviously most medieval men were pedophiles. :roll;

You can't just slap an age on it and call it pedophilia. There are 13 year olds who look 20 and 20 year olds who look 15.

It also makes sense from a survival/evolutionary perspective.

Bottom line:
Physically mature = natural.
Physically immature = pedophilia.
