Are you annoyed by people who sign their posts with their names?

I have explained my reasoning a number of times. The main reason is for search purposes.

I have found that search, both here on AT and via Google, is more accurate when I put my sig in the post.

people who sign forum posts with their real name confuse me. this isn't an email.

i also hate people in college who sign their name major and a bunch of crap on it. who the hell cares what major you are? unless you're doing some serious communication and need to look authoritative... but even then you're a damn undergrad.... even then you don't need it. For 98% of college emails like communicating with your professor, your TA, your friends, coordinating dinner, etc. No one cares you're the president of College Democrats. Even applying for a job. Who cares? People look at your damn resume.

Hahaha, wow, college students that have signatures like that in their emails must really think they're hot shit and something special. Sounds kinda douchey to me.

It's also pretty easy to just go to Google and do a search like this:

"Ichinisan" <some post text here> site:forums.anandtech.com

Especially since your name is besides each post anyways.

BTW, having my user name in my posts allows me to quickly search for my posts using the search box without having to go to the Advanced Search page.
