I wonder if there has ever been an organ that's been transplanted more than once, say a 16 year old gets a new heart, from a 20year old, then he suddenly died in a car accident years later, at lets say 30, then, since he is an organ donor, his heart gets transplanted AGAIN into someone else. Do they have checks for this type of thing?

I don't get the ppl who don't... I could understand if it was a religious reason or your dead body has prior commitments (like klod), but "it's creepy" isn't a good reason. That's amazingly selfish. If you don't donate to charity, that's one thing--you can use that money. But you can't use those organs after you're dead. It's like throwing bread into an incinerator right in front of a starving beggar.

If Scott Peterson needs your liver, are you down with that?

Yeah, well, luckily it's their decision to make for whatever reason they choose.

Yep. I figure is I was in dire need of a new liver/kidney/anything and some dead guy was too wierded out by the idea that I couldn't have his I'd be pretty pissed, so I signed up.

Not like I'd be needing them anyway.

Criminals and politicians make up a very small percentage of the population. Someone like him getting it is unlikely. Besides, your hypothetical is a loaded question.

I could say, using your logic, that I won't donate to the tsunami relief efforts because someone the charities give medical assistance to might be a murderer.

Yes. And after they've taken my innards, they can burn me and store me in a Ming vase. :D

No. I don't want anybody else's rotten parts inside me, and when I die, all my parts are going in the vase with me.
