I love the way these dudes are always so cheerful.

I've started turning the TV to the shopping channel at work. I'm the boss so I can do that. I just got so tired of CNN, FNN, the weather channel, whatever. I like to have something to watch while I'm on hold, which describes 99 percent of my day. When QVC is on everybody is in a good mood. So I keep it there. Anything to make the staff happy.

Nope, haven't bought anything from them yet.

I stand by my theory that if you watch any informercial for at least 10-15 minutes, you will be compelled to buy....

Not True, I watched the complete "Nads Hair Removal" made will all natural products in Australia, and was never once compelled to buy.

Even though that pasta pot looks kinda cool...*might have to drill some holes in my old pressure cooker.

I despise infomercials. Of course, you can have fun with them. To play a really nasty prank on one of my roomates in college I stayed up till 4 AM one day and then wrote down the phone number of every single crappy product and then called pretending to be him and asked for them to send me their informational brochures... :D

Nedless to say, he was getting all kinds of junk mail for the next 2 years.

The narration should read "Are you a complete idiot? Can you not figure out how to pour water from a pot into a colander? Did you eat a lot of paint chips when you were young?"

you owe me a new monitor and keyboard :D and a bottle of mountain dew

i always see that stupid commercial .. "for those not terribly interested in hand-eye coordination or effort." :D

I love those Ronco rotisserie grill commercials! Looking at all those tasty cooked meats and steamed vegatables is enough to make ANYONE hungry!

After a hard night idling online I usually turn on my bedroom tv for a bit to relax, and I'll admit once in a while some dumb info-mercial is the best thing on at that hour, but only occassionally.

Actually, since I do so hate the many illicit and coercive ways that people are constantly trying to put the bite on us, there is something about a conventional pitch that I kinda respect, no matter how silly or lame.

Whn I was out of town a while ago I saw one where he shows you how to buy lexus, infinity, jaguars and the like for PENNIES ON the dollar. Its the secret the car dealerships don't whant you to know about. All I could think was Salvage action.:D

The best is still carton sheets. He can show you how he created MILLION of Dollars in weath with NO MONEY DOWN. He got a bunch od stupid people to buy his real estate program.

Cindy Margolis was in the don Lapre Ad. Just one little classified ad can make you million. I did it out of my one bedroom apartment and made millions so now I never have to paint houses again. I am guessing the ad read :you can make millions with my classified ad progam"

yes, for the same reasons I watch TBN sometimes. I need to be reminded about how gullible people are and how fake our society is much of the time.

Who is Billy Mays, and what qualifies him to be an expert on so many products?

Billy Mays is from Pittsburgh and used to do his routine at the Home Show every year. It's a big event at the convention center where people peddle siding, windows, basement waterproofing, landscaping, and all the gadget people have a booth to demonstrate their miracle product.

His sales were fantastic and that's how he got his start in infomercials. He makes $3 million a year.
