Non-exempt. Position should be exempt. Have pointed it out and escalated it through the appropriate channels.

I'm exempt. If I work 38 hours I get paid for 38. If I work 90 hours I get paid for 40. It kind of takes the fun out of being salary.
Because I fvcking hate having to track my time. Because I want the flexibility of being able to work however much I have to for the job at hand. Because I'm fvcking sick and tired of feeling guilty for working anything over 40 hours in a week.Originally posted by: mercanucaribe
Why do you want to be exempt? So you can work more and get paid the same??Originally posted by: Zenmervolt

Wrong. Exempt means exempt from OT provisions. It doesn't mean that the employee's hours cannot be tracked.Originally posted by: mercanucaribe

That's illegal. They aren't allowed to track your hours if you're exempt- that would be a double standard. That's the whole point. If you're ready and willing to work, you have to get paid for those hours.
