it doesn't matter how many hours I sleep, I sleep around 8 hours per day, and when I get up, I'm always tired. Not tired as in I want to go back to sleep, but tired as in I don't want to do anything. I feel like this throughout the day. Aren't most people refreshed and ready to tackle on the day when they wake up?

If I wake up with adequate sleep and in the right part of my sleep cycle, I am refreshed and ready to go.

Unfortunately, this happens rarely.

I think it is associated with how many hours you use the computer during the day.... when I don't ever watch TV, use computer, etc I feel fine on 7-8 hours of sleep... when I'm on the computer all day long I seem to be tired no matter how long I sleep 🙁

no, that is why i sleep

if sleeping didn't make me not tired, why would i bother?

i think you must have a sleeping problem that isn't letting you get the rest you need

seek professional medical advise

If I am forced to get up and moving around for some reason then I'm all good. If I have the option of just sitingaround and doging nothing then I feel sluggish. Mysterious no?

interesting. I should give that theory a try

I'm always tired when I wake up, but then I don't sleep for sh!t at night. I wake up probably a dozen times during the night.

I need Barbiturates. 🙁

I never get an adequate amount of sleep. Average 4-6 hours. However, I do feel less tired when I get less sleep compared to if I slept around 10 hours.

Do you snore? If you are waking your self up too much at night, you are not really getting as much sleep as you think.

If I sleep too long/too late, or wake up too early, then I'm tired. If I wake up after around 7 hours of sleep, I'm great.

I felt great this morning.

i used to be.. now I take nyquil before going to bed... sleep like a baby... I wake up feeling very rested and in a good mood.

You need to do some exercises when you wake up. Run around the block or something. Always does the trick.

Agreed. If I lay in bed for a little bit, I'll be groggy all morning. However, if I get right out of bed and start stretching, I'm usually good (at least until my first cup of coffee, that is). As an added bonus, I'm not as achy during the day.

usually it'll hit me about an hour or so after i wake up, depending on how much sleep i get. when i get up i'm usually getting ready, making breakfast, making lunch and then out the door. and i do this in under 40 mins.
