Are you able to update your norton virus definition files?

I keep trying to and it keeps saying it failed... unable to install them. And it knows it needs updating. Anybody have a clue?

I successfully download it, I don't see how the firewall can be interfering.

take down the firewall and give it a shot.. could you update directly from Symatec?

I've ran into that problem before. It's on Symantec's side. Give it a half-hour or so and then try it again

I fail to understand what the confusion is here. I can download the update, there are no connection problems of any sort. It "fails to install" the update.

Now it's saying I'm up to date. WTF? I haven't yet successfully updated them. GRrrr.. I hope they actually are up to date.

hmm....I can download and install the definitions, but it won't install program updates for me. yes, it will download them for me, but not install. Odd.

i use live update. i never even see it updating. it does it in the background.

I can update the virus defs, but not the program or the liveupdate, cause I don't use internet exploder.
