virgin and be proud of it.

Oh get real, no one is proud to be a virgin? what, are you not interested in having sex? Would you not have sex with an attractive woman if she offered? You're proud of that? What's there to be proud of. I don't think there is anything wrong with being a virgin....up until a certain age. Then you have to ask yourself some serious questions and think things over regarding your life.

Earlier in this thread, the 42.??% of virgins statistic was really quite funny. But it didn't surprise me much on ATOT.
You're an incredible asshole. I suppose you'd also criticize someone for not drinking or not smoking weed. Sheesh.

I am not making fun of virgins. If you are a virgin, thats your business. I am just pointing out obvious BS when "adults" say "I am proud to be a virgin." Either say, I am a virgin, I am a virgin because I can't get any, or don't say anything at all.

On another note, like I said earlier. One really has to look at himself/herself it they find themselves in their 20's+ and they are still a virgin.

I had many a girlfriend in college and high school, yet I decided to wait till I was married, I was 26, and no I didn't have to look at myself because of it.

Well, you represent a minute percentage of the population of virgins. But I find it hard to believe that most virgins share your same approach and beliefs regarding sex, whether they use that value as an excuse or not.

You've just become my personal hero. Why couldn't I be like you? Hell...

So true. I did fail. What's worse there is no priest in the vicinity I could go to and confess to. Churches around here don't practice confessions. Maybe I should look for a Catholic church. Damn, I'm a sinner. I've always felt kind of bad about it but it's just now that I've realized how lowly I really am. Or crap. What do I do now. I really don't want to go to hell.

Out of curiosity.. why? What is it that you gain by not enjoying a normal and pleasurable bodily function? What do you gain by deliberately not sharing such an intimate thing with someone you care about?

In my opinion, one does not "lose" anything when you lose your virginity. Rather, you gain experience and maturity.
