I voted no, because while some who don't understand what it means think I am a vegetarian, I eat fish. I guess I refer to myself as a pescetarian.

I don't eat beef, pork, or chicken because of the condition the animals are raised in, what they are fed, and the effect that the farms have on the environment.

I was a vegetarian for around 5-6 years then quit. I'll eat chicken once in a while but other than that I only eat beef (no seafood, poultry or game). Everything my parents make for dinner has beef in it: stew, sheppards pie, mince (scottish), scotch meat pies, steak, burgers, meatloaf. It is hard to avoid :)

Maybe one day I'll go back to being vegetarian and care about the animals but until then I'm going to be a hedonist and enjoy it :D

I strongly believe every taste is cultivated. it coudlnt be in our genes to have a craving for meat... I dont mind meat, not that I cant live without it either. but when I am working out I prefer to keep my diet more on the light and digestible side, plus I get sick when I eat too much meat. general rule of thumb : start out with veggies to fill you up, eat at least 2x veggie for whatever amount of meat intake

EDIT : it makes me wonder why some people display such a blind hatred towards veggie burgers. they are good! i bet most of you hating on it havnt even tried one yet :D

Slightly off the point, but I heard that they make cheese by tossing in intestinal juices and milk curd...but the former ingredient isn't listed in the ingredients. I'm not sure if it's true or not

i personally dont see the point in treating animals kindly and politely when you're fattening them for the slaughter....

Human beings are omnivores; we have a mixture of teeth that are designed for both chewing plant matter along with biting into and tearing apart meat. As omnivores, we are meant to survive on a balanced diet that includes both plants and animals.

Being a vegetarian is a personal choice that people make for whatever (often admirable) reasons, but it. goes. against. nature.

Omnivore - I love salads, and veggies, but for me, there is nothing like a great steak.
