Are you a neocon? (quiz)

"Based on your answers, you are most likely a realist. Read below to learn more about each foreign policy perspective."

Same here.

Although I think it didn't allow my conservative side to come out because some of the answers were too extreme. MEh - it was only 10 questions.

Nope I am still a realist.

Realist

Realists?

Are guided more by practical considerations than ideological vision
Believe US power is crucial to successful diplomacy - and vice versa
Don't want US policy options unduly limited by world opinion or ethical considerations
Believe strong alliances are important to US interests
Weigh the political costs of foreign action
Believe foreign intervention must be dictated by compelling national interest
Historical realist: President Dwight D. Eisenhower

Modern realist: Secretary of State Colin Powell

Yes it is very limited in scope, but I think it does a pretty decent job given the amount of time you need dedicate to it

Right, but alot of the questions were a tad extreme(on both sides) and said *some* things in there i didn't agree with but for the most part i would have...but just that one thing or two turned me off to the answer. Take a few of the extreme things out of the answers and it would label me a neo-con😉 although I'm not. I think people are starting to try to confuse Conservatives with Neo-Cons far too much.

Exactly - more gradation in the choices was needed. Still, even if there was, I still would probably come out as a realist
Interesting idea, though

Considering the site.......I figured it would label me as a communist or something.

meh - same thing😉😛

ps - for you sensitive types it was a joke, nothing more😉

It accurately labeled me, but thats because I knew exactly what answers they "wanted" to be chosen for each catagory.. it was so obvious.. the quiz is stupid and biased.

I took it twice, because there were a few questions that had two reasonable answers. First time I came out Liberal, second time Isolationist...which is pretty close to on par with where I've always pegged myself.

the answers suck :\

I want to answer both of the second two for the China question, the second two for the N. Korea question, the first two for the Saddam Hussein question, the first three for the superpower question... 😛

I don't care to go any farther than that.

Edit: I know! I'm a neoconglomeration!

how surprising...i'm liberal

edit:

Neoconservatives?

Want the US to be the world's unchallenged superpower
Share unwavering support for Israel
Support American unilateral action
Support preemptive strikes to remove perceived threats to US security
Promote the development of an American empire
Equate American power with the potential for world peace
Seek to democratize the Arab world
Push regime change in states deemed threats to the US or its allies

wow i hate neoconservatives...

Yeah, I hate their extremist picture of a Neo-Conservative too.

The test in very poorly written. There are only 4 possible choices to any question, according to them. I did not like any of the answers in more than half of the questions. They also generalized A LOT. I could easily tell which answers led to a liberal POV and which led to a conservative POV. They also seem to favor the liberal answers. They use much more peaceful and happy words in the liberal answers, and more negative words in the conservative answers.

um....this is the case w/ every stupid online test which "reveals" your political position.

I hardly recall taking a test which offered more than 4 choices, and usually the other tests offered choices that were less specific. How about the plethora of tests that give you only two choices?

Anyway, about the positive/negative answers...i have no idea what you meant. Give an example of a liberal answer that was more peaceful w/o merit. Maybe the liberal answers are more peaceful because the liberals didn't jump to conclusions and rush to invade baghdad?!

It's not like the test was more poorly written than your post was.

edit: besides, weren't you the one that had some stupid note about being leader of the Neo-conservatives in your sig? i could be wrong tho.

Yeah, I'd have to say that that definition pretty much sums up my view of the worst of humanity...the absolute lowest, least useful, most dangerous to the continuation and evolution of the species...not sure that I could say enough bad things to describe the nausea I feel every time I even think about that. I hate to judge people, especially based on political opinion/agenda...but that damn near demands purification just to ensure the viability of the species.
