I am, I just have no interest in a relationship or to have kids. I kinda feel bad in a way though since continuing the family name basically depends on me or one of my cousins, who is kinda in the same boat as me. I'm just happy single. So the family name basically ends at us. I think he actually wants to get married though, he just has not had any luck yet with relationships. He's a bit younger than me but we're both getting there in age where even if we wanted to it's kinda late.

If that doesn't make you feel better then think about the hellish landscape most areas will be by the time your offspring is your age. Or maybe if you're an oligarch you can send him/her/them into space on a generation ship....

but then they might have to become Mecha pilots to defend that ark against aliens...

Nope. I have a son so they will continue on.

My dad had 5 brothers and 5 sisters. 2 of his brothers never got married and had no kids, 1 of them can't have kids, and 2 of them only had girls. Then I have 2 brothers and I have a son and one brother has 2 sons.

So out of 11 siblings, my dad was the only one that was able to pass on the family name, and now we can pass on the last name too.

Wife and I started out with nothing but NOPE regarding kids, but after having fun and traveling for years then losing family on both sides, we decided to get fruitful. She said no girls, bitches be crazy, knock me up with boys please.12+ years on the pill, we were told might take awhile. Got her on week 2.
