when not with my significant other, i'm playing WoW or CS:S... i play in CAL (an online gaming league) and have been to many LAN's and tournaments... i occasionally play MTG and WH40K, but stay the hell away from D&D...

I believe that's a yes.

Interesting. Because me and my wife play Guild Wars... I'm actually wondering what the definition of 'geek' is now... Me, I have no way of denying it, I am one, and I can't help it. I wonder if my wife is one though...

i guess whats the definition of a geek?

i mean im into computers and videogames and stuff but it definetly doesnt rule my life. i guess id be a geek with learning technical stuff. i love building and designing stuff too. hell i learned to mig weld at like 16 so i could build my own go kart.

Change geek to Nerd and I'll vote yes, who the hell wants to be a geek? All the geeks I know are complete utter morons, they just have bad skin, poor taste in clothing, play really stupid/lame games and have nothing better to do. Nerds are at least smart, their social life I'm sure can vary, and so I rest my case.

The definitions of geek and nerd tend to overlap. Many geeks are no longer the traditional fugly loners that they once were. Maybe no in every respect, but to me, geek==nerd.
