Are Xi computers worth buying?

I agree, if you build your own you'll have control over what you're really getting. Quality components are out there, but they sometimes take a little work to find. I like building computers for myself because I get to search online for the best deals and it's like an Easteregg hunt. Also, you don't get stuck paying those stupid payments, your computer runs faster, and you don't have to wait on hold when someone else's poor engineering(aka proprietary design) craps out. That's why I don't buy Gateways or anything else with riser boards...whatever the heck those are! (I actually know what they are, but WHY??? Make it all one piece for cryin' out loud!) :)

Building is a lot easier than most people think. I wouldn't do it if it were tough... ;) But Xi does have pretty decent prices. I've just seen a lot of these companies come and go through the years. I used to get systems from Nutrend computers back in the day... Similar deal...good prices with a cheap monitor included...

Never heard of them... However, if you don't want to build your own machine, this looks like a decent place to buy a system. I am sure they use AMD approved power supplies and such. One of their motherboard options is an AMD 761 chipset for DDR - I would guess that this is a high quality board. Overall sounds good to me.

Thanks. I think I will buy one from them. It would be nice to hear from someone who has heard of them before or had some dealings with them though.

besides those fugly color cases, looks decent. Much better value than buying an overpriced Alien or Falcon PC.
