Are Women Objects?

Raj

Senior member
Grew up believing NO. Women are not objects. more and more and more I am finding women objectifying themselves. Throwing themselves around like meat. Its almost as if they want to wear that label. Don't know what to think anymore. It almost seems like I am unlearning everything i learned growing up.

Social norms. Are women objects to men, and we put up this elaborate fassad for political correctness to continue this deluded sense of equality?

Is it today's media that has maybe not spawned but propogated, perpetuated and increasingly made acceptable the objectification of women?

Thoughts guys? and girls?

Men are slowly coming out of the woman trance. It's been going on since the beginning of time, but I think it's reached it's pinacle. 😉

elaborate my friend.

Women and men both are objectifying themselves...although I don't know that I'd say it's happening any more or less nowadays compared to how things have been in the past.

Unfortunately, it seems that for a lot of women of a certain age, feminism means acting dumb and slutty but retaining the power to be justifiably offended when someone calls them on it.

i must say that it seems u r right. there are so many punks in my school that constantly act like they're objects. it is said because girls who are smart and have potential, should exploit it every chance they can.

keep telling yourself that. 😛

maybe it's fun being a slut, ever thought of that?

or maybe just because they are dressing in a slut-like fashion, doesn't mean they are actually having sex with every second guy they meet.

what does that mean, act like objects?

Women who objectify themselves are allowing themselves to be used to get what they want in terms of instant gratification from the type of men who are allowing themselves to be used to get what they want in terms of instant gratification. Both suffer from low expectations.

Precisely. So the best thing we as men could do is to make them into objects and keep them bitch asses in the kitchen baking us pie.

Perhaps, but probably more often for the man, most women who objectify themselves in that way are doing it for material or social gains. My point being that both are being used and therefore both are being objectified.
